The following 3 letters were
received from John Hinton by the webmaster (Craig Portwood)
regarding a broadcast he had done.
Dear Craig,
I was recently informed that my name has been mentioned in
regard to James Lloyd's suit against you. I was told that I was
mentioned on your radio program in regard to the accusation that
my wife and I had witnessed you and Linda behaving in a
compromising fashion. [Editors note:
That broadcast can be heard by following this link]
Unfortunately, the sound
accessory on my computer is corrupted, so I will be unable to
listen to it before I get to the library tomorrow.
I was told that you may
have questioned why I have not stood up for you. Having not
heard the broadcast, I can't respond to that issue now, but I
hope that my informant is giving me the wrong interpretation of
whatever was said. I have not been contacted by
you and virtually never listen to short wave radio any more, so
there is no reason for me to have known that you needed me to
speak out for you.
If some of Lloyd's cult
members stated that either of us witnessed such behavior they
are either lying or mistaken. I cannot affirm as a fact that
nothing took place, but I can affirm that neither of us observed
anything of the sort. I can also affirm that it would have been
highly unlikely that I would have failed to notice
sexually-inspired behavior between you and Linda. I was shocked
when I heard the accusation through a Lloyd devotee and was
puzzled because I could not remember seeing anything that fit
the
accusation at all.
When I learned through you
a few years later that I was allegedly a witness to the alleged
impropriety, I was doubly shocked. Although I had only met
Linda earlier that day, I did make a number of observations
about her.
Number one, other than my wife,
she was the only woman there that was dressed in modest attire.
Although I found the other women present to be nice people and
pleasant company, they appeared to be dressed for the beach and
weren't the least bit concerned about Christian modesty. This
would have made any improper behavior on Linda's part stick out
like a sore thumb for me.
Number two, she was the only
speaker who gave a talk that I remember as being edifying or
spiritually directed (I'll let others judge my own talks).
Please do not be offended that the subject of your talk escapes
me (you can, however, be confident that if it had left a bad
impression on me, I would have remembered it). The talk by some
of the
others struck me as being centered around their own egos, their
own personal relations with their critics and enemies, and were
spiritually barren. My impression of a few of the members of
the "remnant" was that they were not at all adverse to the use
of mind-altering drugs like marijuana, although I neither heard
nor saw evidence to confirm my suspicion.
It also appeared to me that
nearly everyone there took James Lloyd to be next to God, and
spoke of him in a manner that led me to believe that he was
their spiritual master
and guru. It also appeared to me that they were highly gullible,
unquestioning of pseudo-scholarship and silly and baseless
etymological word games, and spiritually undiscerning in regard
to the New Age perversions of Christianity that were permeating
their cult (and the entire "Christian" patriot movement) . My
impression of Linda, based on my brief observation, was that she
appeared to be more concerned with the Bible than New
Age-inspired theologies and theories.
I hope that my observations and
impressions are correct. In any case, I can say with certainty
and conviction that nothing I witnessed or observed would have
led me to believe the accusations made against either of you. I
don't know what I could add, but feel free to contact me if you
have any questions.
Your servant in Christ,
John Hinton
Dear Craig,
I just listened to your broadcast of 3/3/07. Thank you for
your kind comments. I have no idea how my informant got the idea
that you were questioning why I hadn't stood up for you since
your lawsuit began, but she is a friend and I'm certain that she
was only
mistaken in her memory and not deliberately misleading me.
I read the summons
statement regarding my wife and me, and I do have comments in
regard to it.
Number one, I was never an
enthusiastic supporter of Christian Media. I received the
newsletter for a free trial period, but did not send any money.
I'll ask my wife about it this evening, but I don't believe that
she ever bought anything by mail. We did buy several tapes and
books in Cleveland when he spoke there, but we did so as
customers, not as supporters.
Number two, I was not
enthusiastic. I attended the Indiana gathering at the invitation
of a friend for fellowship and because I had interest in trying
to meet like-minded people. When I heard Lloyd speak in
Cleveland prophesying with his head covered (1 Cor
11:4), selling fake King James Bibles, and his "prophecy" book
using multiple perversions of the Bible, I was unimpressed. I
found some of his statements to be thought-provoking, but I
never for a moment took him seriously as a prophet. I would have
found his playful etymologies, such as Georgia being Gog of the
Bible (Georgia comes from the Persian Gurjistan, while the
Georgian name of the country is sakartvelo), to be amusing if he
were not claiming to be a prophet.
Number three, the only time
that I ever corresponded with James Lloyd that I can recall was
in regard to a Christian Media program (I don't recall which
one) interviewing Michael Cremo on the topic of creation
science. Cremo is a member of the demonic
Bhaktivedanta society of Krishna Consciousness, which is not
only unscientific, but completely attacks the biblical account
of creation. Cremo is an evangelist for Hinduism and is a shoddy
opponent to false, evolutionary science at best. The only
response that I received was defensive. I was given no reason
why a Hindu demon-worshiper was put on the air rather than a
Christian creation scientist. I don't recall the date, but it
had to well after the Indiana event. I made no further attempts
at correspondence after this date due to his failure to provide
a legitimate explanation.
Number four, meeting you and
Linda Kristich had not negative effect upon either one us as
implied in the legal document. Further comments on that issue
are covered in my previous letter.
Your servant in Christ,
John Hinton
Dear Craig,
It may not be relevant to your case, but it just occurred
to me that the Christian Media program that interviewed Krishna
devotee Michael Cremo was Ralph & Kathy's.

A Statement from Stan & Kat Fruchey
Before
we ever knew about Christian Media Network (CMN), we had already
'come out' of the organized religious church and realized that
the 'pre-trib' rapture was not Scriptural. We had been walking a
path of hearing and obeying the voice of God through the Holy
Spirit as a family for some time. Our part in this started in
Feb 2001. We had listened to CMN for about a year. We agreed
with James on many Scriptural points, disagreed on others, and
at the same time were skeptical about some of his speculations,
which seemed pretty 'far out.' Even so, we took him at face
value and thought that the man we heard the on the air was the
real person.
We wrote a private letter to James that he
read on the air on the same show where he was railing about
Pastor Butch Paugh printing James' 'private' letter to him in
Pastor Paugh's newsletter. James stated quite clearly that he
'remembered' a family picture with the letter, a 'nice' picture
of 'the four of us.' As out two teenage children also listened
to him, they had included in the letter an original poem from
our daughter and an hand drawn picture by our son that went with
the poem. They had spent time in prayer and created the work
given them by God. These were on the subject of the 'Finger of
God." There is a vast difference between artwork and a 'family'
snapshot. He clearly had no clue what the 'picture' mentioned in
the letter really was. When confronted with his error and his
hypocrisy about the letters, James got angry. Rather than admit
that he had messed up, he lashed out at us as part of some
alleged 'conspiracy.' He was already angry at the 'hosts' he
claimed had 'defected' from CMN and the alleged misdeeds of
others connected to the network. Apparently, to his mind at
least, one cannot or would not disagree or rebuke anyone at CMN
without being 'in' on this supposed plot.
Whenever you claim that what someone else
does is wrong and you do the same thing, that makes you a
hypocrite. [Romans 2] God removed the veils we had seen James
Lloyd through, revealing the other side of the man that had been
there all along. Besides his unscriptural methods of attacking
people on the air, which had bothered us from the start, the
Holy Spirit started showing us the depths of his utter hypocrisy
and double standards. As we listened to him the Holy Spirit
began to reveal that James' words as well as his actions, did
not line up with Scripture. See Matthew 23 for Jesus' view of
hypocrites.
James himself said "Because the Bible
tells us it will be the professing 'Christian' teachers that
will deceive the people, it is more than appropriate that we
closely examine their teaching in the light of Scripture. Thus,
even though the Bereans greatly loved Paul and Silas when they
went there to preach, 'they searched the scriptures daily' in
order to see 'whether those things were so.' They were
considered 'noble' because they did just that. Furthermore,
because Jesus Christ vehemently warned us about 'false prophets'
it is relevant to look at the accuracy of the information the
various teachers bring us. The scriptures say 'Ye shall know
them by their fruits. ... What is important is if we find a
consistent pattern of deceit and distortion of the data in the
... proponents books, videos, tapes and speeches (i.e. the
fruits of their labor), then we have a powerful indicator that
the Spirit of Truth is not leading them."
[James Lloyd, "Strong Delusion,"
Christian Media Newspaper, Jan 2001, Vol. 7, Issue 2, ,
Page 3]
We did just that. We would listen to his
show, recording it to make sure we didn't misunderstand or
misquote him, and checked it against Scripture. For about a
month we sent him emails about the discrepancies and his
unscriptural, derogatory and untrue remarks about us. Sometime
we rebuked his errors, sometime he contradicted himself or
rebuked his own words. Understandable, James did not like this,
and demanded we take him off our 'email list.' We have no email
list, and he daily solicited emails, letters etc. on his web
site and radio show. He did not even consider our words, nor did
he repent. He only dubbed us as 'stalkers' and 'pond scum'
included us in his angry tirades against the others he was angry
with. We did not threaten any harm to the man, his 'ministry' or
his family - he cannot say the same.
Also at this time we received a 'Letter
from the Brethren' from Ralph and Kathy Haaff, associates of
Lloyd's, detailing their supposed 'evidence' against a former
host. By their own admission, they used deceit and trickery
along with highly unethical behavior, to obtain damaging
'evidence' in the matter. We pointed their errors out -
graphically - and called them on their unchristian means. They
also called us names and ignored our rebuke.
He makes it sound like sacrilege to check
out or disagree with his words, even as he claims he wants
people to do so. He says "... well a few of ya are just
listening to try to catch me in my words 'now, just what did he
say? I'm gonna write him a nasty letter, let's get him here' -
ya know, you're working in Baal right now folks. You're opposing
a work of god; you don't want to be there ..."
[James Lloyd, "Apocalypse
Chronicles," live broadcast, 6:00 PM PST]
He decries people recording his
words yet he admits to recording many other people off both
radio and satellite 'for later examination' - HIS words. He
openly solicits his listeners to send him tapes of things he
wants to hear from his 'enemies' - yet hollers 'foul' when
people record his network.
This is HYPOCRISY.
James Lloyd can and does dredge
up all manner of things from his 'enemies' past lives, but if
someone brings up HIS past, he cries, 'foul.' He whines that it
has 'nothing to do with them' and that he has been 'unfairly
accused.'
This is HYPOCRISY.
He calls other 'false' and
ridicules them if he perceives they has 'missed' a prophecy, yet
excuses himself from being presumptuous. He calls one man a
'false prophet' for mentioning the teachings of William Branham,
yet he has long ignored Brother Stair's missed prophecies and
long standing claims of being the predecessor to Branham. Says
James, "We like Brother Stair." Even now, when Stairs sexual
misconduct has been revealed, James does not call Stair a 'false
prophet' or mention his false doctrines. Perhaps because he is
'courting Stairs disillusioned followers?? {We have his
statement to that effect.}
This is HYPOCRISY.
He regularly casts aspersions on Genesis
Communications Network, calling the whole network evil, liars,
etc. Yet it is OK for him to take their money and rebroadcast
Genesis Communications Network Programs. Worse yet, he cries and
complains when Genesis asks their hosts not to support him with
their fees.
He will decry the evils of the 'beast
government' and the 'whore ' 501(C)(3) church' yet he readily
uses members of both systems as 'witnesses' against his
'enemies.' Apparently you cannot trust these people - unless
they are giving 'evidence' FOR CMN.
This is HYPOCRISY.
He claims everyone else is serving
'mammon' because they sell product or ask for contributions on
the air, while he runs nothing BUT CMN products ads on his
network and in both of his publications. He doesn't 'beg' for
money, he says - but he sure mentions often how much he needs
the listeners money to keep things going.
This is HYPOCRISY.

the land became lice throughout all the land of Egypt."
Exodus 8:21 "Else, if thou wilt not let
my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and
upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and

and also the ground whereon they are." [Moses Announces it]

and into his servants' houses, and into all the land of Egypt:
the land was corrupted by reason of the swarm of flies."

Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the
Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me." [Moses

the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle
of the children of Israel died not one."
Exodus 9:8-9 "And the LORD said unto Moses
and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace,

his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and
the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail
upon the land of Egypt."
Exodus 10:13 "And Moses stretched forth
his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east
wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it
was morning, the east wind brought the locusts."
Exodus 11:4-8 "And Moses said, Thus saith
the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the
first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto
the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and
all the firstborn of beasts. And there shall be a great cry
throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like
it, nor shall be like it any more. But against any of the
children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man
or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a
difference between the Egyptians and Israel. And all these thy
servants shall come down unto me, and bow down themselves unto
me, saying, Get thee out, and all the people that follow thee:
and after that I will go out. And he went out from Pharaoh in a
great anger." [Moses Announces it]
Exodus 12:29 "And it came to pass, that at
midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt,
from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the
firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the
firstborn of cattle."
Hmmmm. Aaron-4 LORD-3 Moses-3
Are 4 and ALL the same number????? Close
only counts in hand grenades, horse shoes, and hydrogen bombs.
Exodus 11:10 "And Moses and Aaron did
all these wonders before Pharaoh: and the LORD hardened
Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel
go out of his land."

ROLE REVERSAL???????
"Do you just make it up as you go, or is
there some dim recollection of a verse somewhere that supports
your faulty reasoning? Chapter and verse please!" James Lloyd
1 But there were false prophets also among
the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who
privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord
that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious
ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken
of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with
feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a
long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days
perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own
selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to
parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection,
trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of
those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of
pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying
the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep
into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led
away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to
the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood
Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds,
reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for
their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.
Amen and Amen
Stan & Kat
Peace be to the brethren, and love with
faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be
with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity.
Amen. Ephesians 6:23-24
For the above email, we (and
others) were threatened with murder. (See
excerpts from the December 17, 2001 Apocalypse Chronicles Show)
James said "Where you find conflict, you know, you can't just
come along and say 'Well, I say this, so it's true.' YOU CAN'T
DO THAT. What is your authority? Well, your authority is either
the written WORD of God or there should be some evidence to
state and connect that pattern of behavior to the Word of God."
James
Lloyd, Apocalypse Chronicles, March 1, 2001 at 9:00 PM EST.
The pattern is clearly
established. James Lloyd's 'fruit' is not Godly - it is deadly.
Jesus said the 'leaven of the Pharisees' was hypocrisy. The same
'leaven' infects James Lloyd and all his cohorts at CMN.
Associate with him and his 'taint' will get on you, too. to
write all of the hypocrisy of James Lloyd would probably fill up
the internet - or at least this server. Let the listener/reader
beware of the HYPOCRISY OF JAMES LLOYD.
